My Vision for
McCRACKEN COUNTY
McCracken County is home to more than 67,500 people and serves as the economic and population center of Western Kentucky. As County Judge Executive, my vision is simple: build on our strengths, prepare for future opportunities, and ensure that every community in McCracken County benefits from thoughtful, responsible leadership.
Throughout my years as an elected official and community leader, I have believed that progress happens when people work together. The future of McCracken County depends on collaboration, long-term planning, and leadership that brings people together around common goals.
01
Planning for Tomorrow
One of the most important responsibilities of the County Judge Executive is looking beyond today’s challenges and preparing for tomorrow’s opportunities.
Our county is entering a period of growth unlike anything we have seen in decades. That growth requires careful planning, smart investments, and a commitment to continuous improvement. We cannot afford to be reactive. We must be proactive in preparing our infrastructure, public services, workforce, and communities for the future.
02
Keeping Our Communities Safe
Public safety will always remain a top priority.
As Judge Executive, I will support long-term planning for emergency medical services, fire protection, 911 operations, and countywide emergency preparedness. The McCracken County Sheriff Department is critical to the future growth of our county. Growth always brings new demands on public safety resources, and we must ensure our first responders have the staffing, equipment, and support they need to protect our citizens.
Strong communities begin with safe communities.
03
Encouraging Smart Growth and Redevelopment
I believe economic growth and community development should benefit the entire county.
The continued redevelopment of Southside Paducah demonstrates what can happen when local governments, businesses, and community partners work together toward a shared vision. There is a significant opportunity to extend Paducah’s Southside Redevelopment program to the Reidland-Farley area that has long been underserved. I will continue supporting strategic redevelopment efforts, housing opportunities, and neighborhood improvements that strengthen our communities and improve quality of life.
Growth should create opportunity while preserving the character and values that make McCracken County a great place to live.
04
Expanding Housing Opportunities
Housing plays a critical role in attracting new residents, retaining our workforce, and supporting economic growth.
We must encourage a variety of housing options that meet the needs of families, young professionals, retirees, and future generations. By working with developers, municipalities, planning agencies, and community stakeholders, we can support responsible growth while ensuring our infrastructure keeps pace.
05
Focus on Smart Economic Growth
McCracken County has tremendous opportunities ahead, but growth alone is not the goal. The goal is Smart Economic Growth that creates lasting value for our citizens and delivers a positive return on investment for our community.
As Judge Executive, I will focus on attracting quality jobs, expanding our tax base, supporting local businesses, and preparing our county for future opportunities. Economic development requires vision, preparation, and collaboration. It means ensuring industrial and commercial sites are development-ready, supporting strategic land acquisition when appropriate, and working closely with regional and state partners to remain competitive for new investment.
Every major economic development decision should answer an important question: How does this benefit the people of McCracken County?
Growth should strengthen our communities, improve infrastructure, increase opportunities for families, and enhance the quality of life throughout the county. Responsible leadership means pursuing projects that provide measurable benefits while protecting taxpayers and preserving the character of our communities.
I believe economic success starts long before the first ribbon cutting. It begins with planning, collaboration, and a commitment to making decisions that create long-term prosperity for future generations.
Our focus should not simply be growth for growth's sake. Our focus should be Smart Economic Growth that delivers results, creates opportunity, and produces a positive return on investment for the residents of McCracken County.
06
Investing in Infrastructure
Infrastructure is one of the most important foundations for future growth.
I have a strong track record and will continue to support efforts to improve transportation networks, interstate access, public infrastructure, and gateway corridors throughout McCracken County. These investments improve safety, support commerce, and create positive first impressions for businesses, visitors, and future residents.
07
Leading with Transparency and Accountability
Leadership is built on trust.
I believe county government should operate openly, communicate clearly and often, and remain accountable to the people it serves. Citizens deserve to understand how decisions are made, how resources are allocated, and how their tax dollars are being invested.
I have worked throughout my public service to build trust through transparency, accessibility, and honest communication. That commitment will continue as County Judge Executive.
08
Bringing People Together
I believe government works best when leaders work together.
The relationship between county government, city governments, community organizations, businesses, and citizens should be collaborative—not competitive. Success comes when we focus on shared goals and mutual respect.
As Judge Executive, I will work closely with the my County Commissioners who lead the Fiscal Court, the Paducah City mayor, community leaders, and regional partners to strengthen communication and improve coordination. I will advocate for regular public meetings between city and county leadership so citizens can stay informed and engaged.
A Vision for the Future
McCracken County’s best days are ahead of us.
We have tremendous opportunities for economic growth, workforce development, infrastructure improvements, housing expansion, and community investment. Realizing those opportunities will require leadership that listens, plans ahead, and brings people together.
My vision is built on a simple belief:
Put people first. Plan for the future. Work together. Lead responsibly.
If we do those things, McCracken County will continue to grow, prosper, and remain a place where families, businesses, and future generations can thrive.
